Privacy Policy - My 5 Minutes
Last updated: August 7, 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains how WiBAAP handles information in the My 5 Minutes Android app, which may be displayed as Meus 5 Minutos in Portuguese. It applies to the app's local features, optional Google account connection, Premium cloud synchronization, advertising, subscriptions, support, and account deletion.
1. Developer and privacy contact
My 5 Minutes is provided by WiBAAP. Questions, privacy requests, and support inquiries can be sent to [email protected].
2. Information stored locally
The app stores information on the user's device to provide its core features. This may include goal titles, goal type, target, unit, schedule, selected weekdays, active status, completion dates and times, recorded duration, language, theme, notification preference, Terms version and acceptance date, and synchronization metadata.
Local data is not uploaded to WiBAAP merely because the app is installed. It is sent to the cloud only when the user links an eligible account and cloud synchronization is enabled, or when another feature described below requires an external service.
3. Google account and Supabase
When the user chooses to link a Google account, Google Sign-In and Supabase Auth process authentication information. WiBAAP may receive and store the Google account's unique identifier, email address, display name, profile image URL, authentication session, and related account metadata. The app uses this information to identify the correct account, provide secure sign-in, determine Premium eligibility, synchronize data, and protect account deletion.
For eligible Premium users, Supabase may store the account profile, subscription entitlement, goals, schedules, completion history, recorded durations, and app preferences such as language, theme, and notification status. Cloud records are associated with the authenticated user identifier and protected by access-control policies intended to restrict each user to their own data.
4. How information is used
Information is used only as needed to:
- create, display, edit, complete, and summarize the user's goals;
- run timers, calendar history, reminders, and progress features;
- authenticate a linked Google account;
- back up and synchronize eligible data across devices;
- verify Premium access and restore eligible features;
- display and measure ads in the free version;
- prevent abuse, secure accounts, diagnose failures, and comply with legal obligations;
- respond when the user voluntarily contacts support.
5. Advertising and consent
The free version may display full-screen ads supplied by Google AdMob. The current app requests non-personalized ads, but Google may still automatically process the device IP address, approximate general location inferred from IP, app and ad interactions, diagnostic information, Android advertising ID, app set ID, and other device or account identifiers needed for ad delivery, frequency control, measurement, analytics, security, and fraud prevention.
Where required, the app uses Google's consent platform to present privacy choices before requesting ads. Premium users do not receive ads from the app while their Premium entitlement is active. Google's processing and retention are governed by its own privacy policies and the user's Google and device settings.
6. Google Play subscriptions
When Premium purchases become available, payments and billing information will be processed by Google Play. WiBAAP does not receive the user's complete card or bank details. The app and its backend may process subscription entitlement information such as status, product identifier, provider reference, renewal or expiration date, and the Google account-linked user identifier to activate, restore, or remove Premium benefits.
Subscription management, cancellation, payment retention, and refund handling are governed by Google Play. Deleting a My 5 Minutes account or uninstalling the app does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription.
7. Notifications, sharing, and support
If the user enables reminders, the app requests notification permission and schedules goal reminders on the device. The app does not require access to the user's contacts or calendar for this feature.
When the user chooses to share a progress summary, the app creates the share image locally and opens Android's system sharing interface. WiBAAP does not upload that image; the user chooses the destination and the selected receiving service applies its own privacy terms.
The Support button opens the user's email application with WiBAAP's address. No email is sent automatically. If the user sends a message, the sender address, message content, and attachments are received only to respond and provide support.
8. Service providers and data sharing
Information may be processed by the following providers only for the described app functions:
- Google Sign-In: account authentication;
- Supabase: authentication, database, cloud synchronization, account security, and deletion;
- Google AdMob: advertising, measurement, diagnostics, and fraud prevention;
- Google Play: app distribution, subscriptions, billing, and purchase restoration.
WiBAAP does not sell personal data. Providers may process information in other countries under their own privacy policies and applicable safeguards.
9. Security
Network communication with supported services uses encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections. Authentication sessions are stored using protected device storage where supported. Supabase Row Level Security and server-side identity checks are used to limit cloud access and account deletion to the authenticated user. No system can guarantee absolute security, but WiBAAP applies reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the app.
10. Retention and deletion
Local information remains on the device until the user deletes it, clears the app's storage, or uninstalls the app. Unlinking a Google account stops the current device session but does not by itself delete the cloud account or cloud records.
A linked user can request permanent deletion from Settings > Support and Legal > Delete account and data inside the app or through the official My 5 Minutes account deletion page. Account deletion removes the linked app account and associated cloud profile, goals, completion history, preferences, and subscription entitlement records, except information that must be retained temporarily for security, fraud prevention, backup integrity, dispute handling, or legal obligations.
Data processed independently by Google, Google Play, AdMob, email providers, or other services remains subject to those providers' retention and deletion rules. Users should cancel any active Google Play subscription separately before or after deleting the app account.
11. User choices and rights
Users may use core local features without linking a Google account, disable notifications in the app or Android settings, manage advertising choices through available Google consent and device controls, unlink an account, delete local data, and request account deletion. Depending on local law, users may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or information about their personal data by contacting WiBAAP.
12. Children
My 5 Minutes is a general productivity tool and is not specifically designed for children. A user who has not reached the minimum age required to consent to data processing in their country should use account, cloud, advertising, or subscription features only with authorization from a parent or legal guardian.
13. Third-party privacy information
14. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app, its providers, legal requirements, or data practices change. The latest version and update date will remain available on this page. Material changes may also be communicated inside the app.
